About

Megan Harpe is a dedicated attorney with a strong focus on advocacy, litigation, and family law. Her legal career began in Maryland, where she worked as a legal assistant at a boutique law firm, gaining hands-on experience in guardianship matters. This early exposure laid the groundwork for her lifelong commitment to serving vulnerable individuals and families.

Megan earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from Loyola University Maryland. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law, graduating cum laude. While in law school, Megan excelled in the Family Advocacy Clinic, where she was selected to represent a minor in a termination of parental rights trial—an experience that deepened her dedication to child welfare law.

After law school, Megan joined Legal Aid, representing foster children under Chapter 39 of the Florida Statutes. In this role, she advocated for children’s rights during dependency and termination of parental rights trials, collaborating with the Guardian Ad Litem’s Office, the State Attorney’s Office, and the Attorney General’s Office to ensure children’s voices were heard in court.

Megan Harpe’s legal practice expanded into juvenile delinquency, where she worked to secure outcomes that acknowledged the personal trauma and background of each child. This commitment to understanding her clients’ unique stories led her to family law, where she now supports parents and children during challenging transitions with strength and compassion.

Megan uses her courtroom experience and deep understanding of family dynamics to guide clients through custody, divorce, and support matters. Known for being approachable, collaborative, and client-centered, she is a powerful advocate who combines empathy with effective legal strategy to deliver results for those she serves.
