Meade A. Spotts

Meade A. Spotts is a Richmond attorney and shareholder at Spotts Fain PC, whose practice focuses on real estate and environmental matters, legislative representation and lobbying, employment law, and corporate and business law. He advises clients on projects, transactions, regulatory concerns, and government-related issues that may involve several public or private interests. He represents clients before the Virginia General Assembly, state and local boards, planning commissions, and government agencies. He also supports companies with interests throughout North America.

Mr. Spotts earned his J.D. from The College of William and Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law in 1982. He completed his B.A. in History with distinction at Virginia Military Institute in 1979. His legal education prepared him to address issues where business goals, property rights, environmental rules, and public policy meet. He is admitted to practice in Virginia, allowing him to counsel clients and advocate for their interests across the Commonwealth.

Mr. Spotts has also participated in public and private trade missions to China, giving him experience with business interests that extend beyond Virginia. He is a member of the Virginia Bar Association and belongs to its Environmental Law and Real Estate sections. He also holds memberships in the same sections of the Bar Association of the City of Richmond. His service has included roles with the Veterans Services Foundation, Wildlife Foundation of Virginia, Port of Richmond Authority, and C&F Bank’s Richmond advisory board.
