About
Matthew W. McClellan is an immigration lawyer and founder of McClellan Immigration Law Offices, P.C., who focuses on business and employment immigration cases. He helps clients understand the rules, forms, deadlines, and agency steps that shape the immigration process. His work is built on decades of experience in immigration and nationality law. He guides employers, professionals, and families through matters that often require clear planning, steady communication, and careful review. His practice is focused on helping clients move through complex procedures with confidence and practical direction.
Matthew earned his J.D. from Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, in 1992. He earned his B.A. from Georgetown University in 1987. These degrees helped prepare him for legal research, client counseling, written advocacy, and problem-solving. His education also supported the strong attention to detail needed in immigration cases, where documents, timing, and agency rules can affect a client’s options.
Matthew began working in immigration law as a paralegal in 1988 at a Washington, DC law firm. After becoming a lawyer, he continued building a career centered on immigration and nationality law. Since moving to Oregon in 1996, he has devoted his practice only to immigration matters. He managed his own immigration practice, worked with attorney and retired US Consul Russell M. Winge, and later joined Elliott, Ostrander & Preston as a shareholder in 2004. In 2012, he helped establish Marandas & McClellan before continuing his work through his own firm in 2015.
Matthew W. McClellan helps people by making a difficult legal process easier to understand. He advises clients on business and employment immigration issues and explains how government agencies may affect their cases. His work supports people seeking lawful paths for work, opportunity, and stability in the US. He also relies on an experienced professional team of paralegals, each with more than 15 years of experience, to help clients receive organized, timely, respectful, and responsive service throughout each important legal matter they handle.
