Matthew S. Brown

Matthew S. Brown is a seasoned attorney focused on litigation, insurance coverage, securities, and intellectual property. As a trusted advocate, he represents clients in hearings, trials, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings. His work spans multiple jurisdictions, where he has effectively handled cases in both state and federal courts.

Matthew began his academic path with a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from Bowling Green State University in 1994. He later earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Toledo, College of Law in 2004. This strong educational background laid the groundwork for his career in complex legal matters.

Matthew’s early career included working for a major Ohio property and casualty insurer, where he gained critical insight into insurance law. With this industry knowledge, he developed broad experience in areas such as property and casualty, directors and officers, errors and omissions, and general liability coverage. He is a Certified Specialist in Insurance Coverage Law through the Ohio State Bar Association.

Licensed in Ohio and Michigan, as well as several U.S. District Courts, Matthew handles cases that often involve regulatory and appellate challenges. He has argued before the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and various appellate and trial courts across Ohio, showcasing his strong litigation skills.

In addition to his legal work, Matthew is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the International Association of Defense Counsel.
