Matthew R. Aberegg is an associate attorney who focuses his practice on family law, estate planning, and business matters. Matthew received his B.A. from Miami University in 2015, majoring in Public Administration with a minor in History and an additional certificate in Mathematics. He earned his J.D. from the University of Akron in 2018, where he also obtained a Healthcare Law Certificate and earned his license as a trained mediator. During law school, he completed externships with NEOMED and Employer’s Health Purchasing Co., and authored a thesis on Do Not Resuscitate tattoos and evolving cultural views on euthanasia. He also served as Student Body Vice President, showcasing his leadership and commitment to public service.
Matthew previously worked as a Judicial Attorney for Judge Julie Schafer in the Medina County Domestic Relations Court, where he drafted decisions and analyzed complex issues in divorce, custody, and domestic violence cases. He also gained prosecutorial and civil experience through his work with local county Prosecutors’ Offices, advising on contracts, litigation, and both criminal and civil matters.
