About
Matthew Glassman is a Florida criminal defense attorney who represents clients facing charges involving DUI, traffic offenses, drug crimes, domestic violence, firearms, weapons, and serious felonies. His background includes more than 13 years of defense work in South Florida. He began as an assistant public defender, handling thousands of cases and later working in a major crimes unit involving homicides and death penalty matters requiring careful preparation, strategy, and judgment.
Matthew earned his B.A. from Indiana University. He also earned his J.D. from Saint Thomas University School of Law. He earned an M.S. in Sports Management as well. His education and courtroom training support strong legal analysis, motion practice, trial preparation, and client counseling. He uses that background to explain charges, review evidence, challenge prosecution claims, and prepare clients for hearings, negotiations, trials, sentencing issues, and case decisions.
Matthew has built experience through public defense, private practice, teaching, and legal writing. He has handled matters ranging from driving and drug offenses to white collar cases, sexual battery allegations, and first-degree murder charges. He also teaches Florida stand-your-ground law as an adjunct professor and previously taught administrative law and procedure, strengthening his ability to explain complex legal issues clearly to juries, students, and clients under pressure in court.
Matthew Glassman has earned recognition from the National Trial Lawyers, including Top 100 Trial Attorney in Florida and Top 40 Under 40 honors. His additional recognition includes a Top Ten rating from the National Academy of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Avvo 10.0, and client satisfaction honors from the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys.
