During his studies, he served as an aide to the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives of Connecticut in 1990, gaining early insight into legislative processes. He later earned his Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 1996, where he received the distinguished American Jurisprudence award in Civil Procedure for his academic excellence and understanding of procedural law.

Matthew’s professional experience includes over two decades of advocacy in family law and civil litigation. He has successfully represented clients in matters involving divorce, custody, support, property division, and personal injury. His legal practice also includes drafting wills and trusts, ensuring that families and individuals are well-protected through thoughtful estate planning. In addition to his private practice, Matthew has served as a Pro Tem Judge at the Superior Court in Vista since 2003, reflecting his commitment to fairness and community service within the legal system.
