Matthew A. Wiley

Matthew A. Wiley is the founder of Wiley Law, LLC, and a Connecticut trust and business lawyer who advises individuals, families, and business owners on estate planning, probate, tax, wealth planning, and business matters. He focuses on creating customized legal plans that protect assets, support long-term financial goals, and address each client’s practical needs. His work also includes helping growing businesses develop legal and financial structures designed to support expansion and reduce risk.

Wiley earned his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2009 and received a B.S. from Drexel University in 2006. During college and law school, he worked extensively in the financial services industry, including several years with Northwestern Mutual in Philadelphia and Hamden. He later served as investment coordinator for a highly ranked Certified Financial Planner. This background provides a strong foundation for advising clients on the connection between legal planning, financial strategy, taxation, and asset protection.

Before founding his firm in 2012, Wiley worked with Withers Bergman LLP, where he developed experience preparing custom estate planning documents. After his admission to the bar, he practiced with the Estate Planning Law Center, LLC, under the supervision of attorney Suzann Beckett. His experience includes developing trusts and estate plans, guiding probate matters, advising on business formation and growth, and coordinating with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to create integrated solutions for clients.
