Matthew A. Schenk is a Detroit government and municipal lawyer with more than 30 years of combined legal and public-sector experience. He helped resolve a 36-year environmental compliance court action and developed a framework that contributed to the Great Lakes Water Authority. His earlier Wayne County roles included chief of staff, assistant county executive, and principal attorney. He managed departments with nearly 2,000 employees and worked on the county’s $2 billion annual budget process.
Matthew A. Schenk has received Crain’s 40 Under 40 recognition and participated in the Detroit Regional Chamber’s Leadership Detroit program.
