Matt Wadsworth

Matt Wadsworth is a partner at Arnold, Wadsworth & Coggins Attorneys with a strong background in family law, bankruptcy, and real estate matters. He represents clients throughout Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Provo. His approach combines trial readiness, practical problem solving, and consistent attention to client needs.

Matt earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Utah, graduating in the top ten percent of his class. He later received his Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law, graduating in the top third of his class. He also earned the Cali Award in Real Estate Finance and Development.

Matt focuses his practice on family law, divorce, child support, alimony, bankruptcy, and real estate matters. He has more than 400 hours of family law trial experience, handling cases ranging from complex business valuation disputes to contested custody matters. He also files approximately one hundred bankruptcy cases each year.

Matt has extensive experience in adversary bankruptcy proceedings and is one of the few Utah members of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. He is also a licensed Realtor in Utah, which supports his real estate related legal work. His writing has appeared in the Utah Family Law Journal and Utah Business Manual.

Matt has received recognition for his legal work from respected organizations. He has been ranked by Super Lawyers for multiple years and named a Top 100 Trial Lawyer. He has also earned honors as a Top 10 Utah Bankruptcy Attorney and a Top 10 Family Law Lawyer.
