Matt Meyer

Matt Meyer is a founding partner of MKP Law Group, LLP in Los Angeles, California. His practice focuses exclusively on representing injured plaintiffs in personal injury matters. Meyer began his legal career on the defense side, representing Fortune 500 companies and insurance carriers in high-stakes litigation. That experience gives him perspective on how corporations and insurers evaluate claims, develop litigation strategies, and respond to plaintiffs seeking compensation for serious injuries.

Meyer earned his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska, and his B.A. in Journalism from the University of Iowa. Before becoming a lawyer, he worked as a journalist, an experience that strengthened his ability to investigate facts, communicate clearly, and tell clients’ stories. He also graduated from the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College, where he received advanced training in trial advocacy and litigation strategy.

After years of defense work, Meyer shifted his practice to representing injured individuals. He now works exclusively as a trial attorney for plaintiffs and applies his prior defense experience when preparing claims, evaluating opposing strategies, and presenting cases.
