Mary Beth Harrell

Mary Beth Harrell is a seasoned criminal defense attorney who has built her career on defending the rights and freedoms of individuals across Texas. Drawing on her years of courtroom experience, she has successfully represented clients facing serious criminal charges and military-related offenses. Her approach is defined by rigorous preparation, compassion, and a fierce commitment to securing the best results for every client she serves.

Mary earned her J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1998, where she was selected for the St. Mary’s Law Journal in 1997 and completed an internship at the Fourth Court of Appeals from 1996 to 1997. Since being licensed to practice in the State of Texas in 1998 and being admitted to the United States District Court, Western District of Texas in 2003, she has continued to enhance her professional growth through active participation in numerous legal associations.

Mary is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Criminal Justice Section, and State Bar College. She is also the founder of the Bell County Women’s Bar Association and has been involved with the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Her commitment extends beyond the courtroom, serving on local and regional economic development boards and contributing her expertise to multiple professional organizations.

Throughout her career, Mary has received several distinguished honors recognizing her excellence and dedication. Her accolades include the American Institute of Trial Lawyers Litigator of the Year (2019), The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers (2016), American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys 10 Best Criminal Law Attorneys (2016), and multiple Avvo Client’s Choice Awards (2014–2019).
