Mark Edelson is a partner in the business and commercial litigation department at Silverman Thompson. With over 13 years of litigation experience in Maryland and 11 years in Florida, he represents clients in complex financial, real estate, fiduciary, and construction-related disputes across state and federal courts.
Mark earned his J.D. cum laude from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2010, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Barristers. He also holds a B.A. from Georgia State University. His academic and courtroom achievements reflect a commitment to excellence in both legal analysis and advocacy.
Mark began his career at Goldman & Goldman, P.A., where he led the litigation division and handled bankruptcy cases as counsel to a Chapter 7 trustee. He later expanded his litigation practice to Florida, representing financial institutions and corporate clients in trials and arbitrations, including a major five-day arbitration on behalf of a national bank.
In addition to serving as counsel to businesses on matters of corporate governance and development, Mark Edelson was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 2022, representing District 46. He also performs civil rights pro bono work, including a successful case to preserve a community bike lane in Baltimore.
Known for his precision, leadership, and service, Mark has been recognized by Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers. His legal skill and dedication to community advocacy make him a distinguished figure in Maryland’s legal and civic landscape.
