Mario Zapata

Mario Zapata is an experienced immigration lawyer with more than a decade of practice dedicated to guiding individuals and businesses through the complexities of U.S. immigration law. He has represented diverse clients, ranging from corporations and employees to undocumented individuals and families facing deportation, always focusing on protecting their rights and achieving favorable outcomes.

Mario began his academic journey at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Following this, he pursued his legal studies at Chapman University School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctor in 2006. His educational foundation has allowed him to combine deep legal knowledge with practical advocacy skills, which he continues to apply in every case he manages.

Mario’s practice covers a broad spectrum of immigration matters. He regularly assists with family-based and employment-based petitions, adjustment of status, naturalization and citizenship applications, consular processing, and waivers. In addition, he frequently represents clients at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services interviews and appears before Immigration Courts nationwide. His strong appellate background includes successful arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Administrative Appeals Office.

Mario further developed his expertise as an associate at a respected immigration practice, where he trained under a Certified Specialist in Immigration & Nationality Law recognized by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. This mentorship equipped him with strategic insights and strengthened his litigation skills. He is admitted to practice in California, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Central and Southern Districts of California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has also been an active member of professional organizations such as the American Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, and Orange County Hispanic Bar Association.
