Marielle F. Hazen

Marielle F. Hazen, CELA, is a nationally recognized elder law and estate planning attorney and the founder of Hazen Law Group LLC, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Her legal practice is devoted to protecting older adults, individuals with disabilities, and families facing complex legal and financial decisions. She focuses on elder law, special-needs planning, estate and trust planning, asset-protection planning, and estate administration, helping clients secure stability, preserve dignity, and plan effectively for the future.

Marielle earned her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and holds a B.A. in Economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her education provided a strong foundation in legal analysis, financial principles, and policy considerations. This academic background supports her ability to design thoughtful estate plans, evaluate public benefits eligibility, and guide clients through legally sound long-term planning strategies.

Marielle is widely respected for her depth of experience and technical skill. She has had the certificate of Elder Law Attorney (CELA) from the National Elder Law Foundation since 2001. She assists clients with Medicaid planning, special needs trusts, guardianships, long-term care planning, and estate administration. Marielle plays a significant role in advancing elder and special-needs law nationwide, in addition to client representation. She serves on the Board of Directors at the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, including as Secretary and Co-Chair of the Federal Advocacy Committee.
