Margaret R. Knight is a dedicated immigration attorney with a strong background in global justice and legal advocacy. With years of experience helping individuals and businesses navigate complex immigration matters, she has built a reputation for delivering thoughtful, client-focused legal support. Margaret’s journey into law began with a passion for justice and international human rights.
Margaret earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Spanish from DePauw University in 2011. Shortly after graduating, Margaret moved to South India to work with International Justice Mission (IJM). Margaret returned to Indiana to pursue her legal education and earned her Juris Doctor from the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
Margaret passed the Indiana Bar in 2017 and began practicing immigration law. Her early legal work included helping immigrants in need at the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic in Indianapolis. She later expanded her reach, supporting international clients through employment-based immigration at a California-based law firm.
Throughout her career, Margaret has guided individuals and employers through the legal steps of obtaining visas and lawful status. She has helped clients from around the world find stability and opportunity in the United States. Her bilingual abilities and cross-cultural experience strengthen her work, particularly with Spanish-speaking communities.
