Margaret O. Rogers

Margaret O. Rogers is the founder and owner of Rogers Law Group, LLC in Fairbanks and has practiced primarily domestic relations law since 2004. She represents clients in family law disputes that can involve divorce, custody, support, property issues, and related appellate questions. Her practice is informed by more than two decades in Alaska, including experience in judicial chambers, civil litigation, domestic relations firms, solo practice, and firm leadership.

Rogers is a graduate of Georgetown University and Vermont Law School. She moved to Alaska in 2001 to serve as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Richard D. Savell and the Honorable Mark I. Wood. After her clerkships, she worked for a civil litigation firm and then a domestic relations firm in Fairbanks. This progression provided early experience with trial-court procedure, civil disputes, and the practical demands of family law representation.

Rogers opened a solo practice in 2006 and co-founded Foster & Rogers, LLC in 2007 before the firm became Rogers Law Group, LLC in 2023. Her appellate experience includes numerous published Alaska decisions involving custody, divorce, and other domestic relations issues. She is licensed in Alaska and Maryland and has built a practice focused on helping clients manage difficult family disputes through careful preparation, legal analysis, negotiation, and appellate advocacy when needed.

Margaret O. Rogers received the Alaska Bar Association Pro Bono Services Practitioner of the Year Award in 2011 and was named a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers in 2015. Her work reflects long-term commitment to domestic relations practice in Fairbanks. She helps clients address complex family issues with a combination of courtroom experience, appellate knowledge, and practical guidance aimed at resolving disputes while protecting important personal and financial interests.
