Margaret (Maggie) Hannon is a driven litigator with a focus on high-stakes and complex litigation. Known for her precision and persistence, she approaches each case with a strong sense of strategy and clarity. Margaret earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in English from the University of Portland. She later completed her J.D. at Seattle University School of Law, graduating summa cum laude. Her academic achievements reflect both her work ethic and her sharp legal thinking.
Margaret deepened her courtroom knowledge during a clerkship with the Honorable James (Jim) Egan at the Oregon Court of Appeals. In this role, she drafted legal opinions and memoranda and participated in judicial panel conferences. She also helped author key sections of the court’s Standards of Review guide.
Margaret expanded her advocacy skills through work with the Fred T. Korematsu Center for Law and Equality: Civil Rights Clinic. There, she assisted on amicus briefs addressing bias in the justice system. She also worked as a summer associate at a litigation-focused firm, where she gained practical trial experience and contributed to real-time legal strategy. Earlier in her career, she served in the King County Superior Court Clerk’s office, where she supported court operations and gained early insight into judicial procedure.
