About
Marcus B. Jaynes has devoted more than two decades to the practice of immigration law, helping individuals, families, employers, students, and entrepreneurs navigate complex immigration processes. His work focuses on employment-based immigration matters, including temporary work visas and permanent residence pathways. He also assists clients with compliance issues, consular processing, and immigration strategies tailored to their unique circumstances.
Marcus earned a B.A. from the University of Michigan before pursuing legal studies. He later received his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado School of Law. This educational foundation prepared him for a legal career centered on problem-solving, advocacy, and guiding clients through detailed immigration requirements. His academic background continues to support his practical and client-focused approach to legal representation.
Marcus advises clients on a broad range of immigration matters involving temporary employment-based classifications such as H-1B, H-2B, P, L, E, O, R, TN, and J-1 status. He also works on permanent residence processes, including EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, PERM, and NIW matters. In addition, he provides guidance to F-1 students, international visitors, and entrepreneurs seeking opportunities in the United States.
Marcus has developed substantial experience beyond employment-related immigration cases. His background includes citizenship and naturalization matters, family-based immigration processes, humanitarian cases, and deportation defense. Through this wide-ranging practice, he has helped clients address legal challenges while pursuing personal, educational, and professional goals. His ability to handle diverse immigration issues allows him to provide informed guidance across many stages of the immigration journey.
Marcus B. Jaynes also serves on the Board of Directors of Pine Tree Legal Assistance, supporting efforts to provide free legal assistance to low-income residents of Maine while continuing his commitment to community service and immigration advocacy.
