Marc J. Bybee

Marc J. Bybee is a Shareholder at White Peterson, Attorneys At Law, with extensive experience in civil litigation, government law, real estate law, guardianships, and trust administration. He focuses on guardianships, municipal and local government law, real property matters, civil litigation, probate, and estate planning in his current practice. He represents individuals, families, and public entities across Idaho. Before joining private practice, he served as a Public Defender in Canyon County for six years. During that time, he handled numerous contested hearings, served as lead counsel in approximately twenty jury trials, and argued cases before Idaho’s appellate courts.

Marc earned his J.D. from the University of Idaho. During law school, he was a member of the Idaho Law Review for two years and served on the Executive Board in his final year. He received his B.B.A. in General Business Management from Boise State University. His academic work required strong research, writing, and analytical skills, which continue to guide his legal practice today.

Marc, after law school, built a strong courtroom foundation as a Public Defender. He argued a case before the Idaho Supreme Court and prevailed on briefs before the Idaho Court of Appeals. Since joining the firm in 2019, he has argued another case before the Idaho Supreme Court. His experience allows him to approach complex legal disputes with confidence and careful preparation. He helps families manage guardianship proceedings and probate administration with clarity and structure.

Marc J. Bybee also advises public entities on government-related legal issues and represents clients in real estate and civil disputes. Admitted to practice in Idaho State and Federal Courts, he is a member of the Idaho State Bar, the Idaho Municipal Attorneys Association, and multiple Idaho State Bar sections.
