Marc E. Hankin

Marc E. Hankin is the founder of Hankin Patent Law, APC, and a distinguished intellectual property attorney with over 30 years of experience. He specializes in patent prosecution, trademark registration, copyright protection, licensing agreements, and intellectual property litigation.

A Registered Patent Attorney, Mr. Hankin provides comprehensive legal counsel to clients in various industries, including medical devices, optical and dental technology, apparel, food, nutraceuticals, and entertainment.

Mr. Hankin earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1992, serving as a Teaching Fellow, Associate Editor of the Journal of International Business Law, and a Moot Court Team member. He also holds a Master’s in Biology and Education from Iona College and a dual Bachelor’s degree in Medical Science and Psychology from Boston University.

Mr. Hankin’s legal career includes positions at prominent firms, where he developed extensive experience in IP litigation and business law. He established Hankin Patent Law, APC, in 2004 to offer personalized and effective legal solutions to clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies.

His litigation expertise spans patent, trademark, copyright infringement, trade secret theft, and domain name disputes. Additionally, he has served as a Special Assistant Attorney General on intellectual property matters and has testified as an expert witness in licensing disputes.
