Margaret Oertling Cupples is a partner and managing partner of Bradley’s Jackson office. She focuses on civil appeals and commercial litigation, with extensive responsibility for briefs, motions, and legal writing in significant disputes. Her related practices include appellate law, product liability, environmental law, class action litigation, and mass tort litigation. She also handles insurance sales practices, consumer finance, and general commercial litigation, advising clients on complex issues at trial and appellate stages.

Cupples earned a B.A. from Trinity University in 1990, graduating magna cum laude with University Honors and Phi Beta Kappa recognition. She received a J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law in 1993, graduating magna cum laude and earning Order of the Coif honors. She later clerked for Judge Rhesa Hawkins Barksdale of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, strengthening an academic foundation centered on careful legal analysis and writing.

Cupples has participated in dozens of appeals before the Mississippi Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Sixth Circuits, and appellate courts in other states. She has served as national legal writing counsel in major litigation and handles product liability, mass tort, consumer finance, insurance sales practice, and other commercial disputes.
