Madeleine B. Hughes

Madeleine B. Hughes is an associate who counsels clients on a wide range of business and corporate matters. Her practice includes oil and gas transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and complex real estate projects. He represents clients in major acquisitions as well as divestments of commercial property, providing practical guidance at every stage of a transaction.

Madeleine earned her B.A., summa cum laude, 2018, from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She went on to receive her J.D./D.C.L., magna cum laude, 2022, from LSU Law Center. While in law school, she served as Senior Editor and Junior Associate of the Louisiana Law Review, was a Member of the Order of the Coif, and worked as a Research Assistant to Professor William Corbett.

Before entering private practice, Madeleine served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable David C. Joseph of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. She also externed for the late Honorable Michael J. Juneau and the Honorable Patrick J. Hanna of the Western District of Louisiana. These roles strengthened her legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
