Lynn Poster-Zimmerman is a respected family and matrimonial law attorney with more than 35 years of experience serving clients in Suffolk County. Lynn began her academic path at the State University of New York, at Binghamton, where she earned her B.S. She continued her legal studies at Hofstra University School of Law and received her J.D. After completing her education, she was admitted to the New York State Bar in the Second Department and later admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for both the Eastern and Southern Districts.

Lynn has held key positions in the Suffolk County Bar Association, including Secretary, Treasurer, President-Elect, and President. She has also served as Managing Director of both the Suffolk County Bar Association Charity Foundation and its Pro Bono Foundation. In addition, she has played an essential role on committees focused on mandated indigent defense services and on rules governing attorneys representing children. Her leadership extends to organizations such as the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association and the Huntington Lawyers’ Club, where she has served as president.
