About
Louis Montone has dedicated his legal career to representing employees in workplace disputes and employment-related claims. Rather than dividing his practice between workers and businesses, he focuses solely on helping individuals navigate complex employment matters. Through more than one thousand consultations and the representation of hundreds of clients, he has assisted people facing discrimination, harassment, retaliation, unpaid wage issues, and other workplace challenges. His experience includes handling claims against large companies and major defense firms while guiding clients through each stage of the legal process.
Louis earned a B.S. from the University of Florida in 2004. He later received his J.D. from Barry University School of Law in 2014. While attending law school, he pursued a strong interest in employment law and actively worked to expand opportunities for students interested in the field. His academic background provided the foundation for a career focused on workplace rights, labor regulations, and employee advocacy.
Louis regularly represents individuals in matters involving discrimination, retaliation, hostile work environment claims, sexual harassment, medical leave disputes, disability accommodations, unpaid wages, and whistleblower actions. His work involves laws such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Florida Whistleblower Act, and related employment statutes. He also advises clients during proceedings before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Florida Commission on Human Relations (FCHR).
Louis brings valuable business insight to his legal practice because he worked in corporate sales before entering the legal profession. During that period, he assisted businesses with operational needs and worked for two Fortune 150 Companies in New York City. That experience helps him understand workplace dynamics from multiple perspectives and allows him to provide practical guidance tailored to the circumstances of each client.
Louis Montone approaches every case as a partnership with the client, emphasizing communication, transparency, and informed decision-making. He explains legal procedures in clear terms and encourages clients to remain actively involved throughout their matters. His experience includes assisting individuals from business, finance, healthcare, marketing, sales, hospitality, education, real estate, property management, manual labor, and many other professions. By combining legal knowledge with firsthand business experience, he works to protect employee rights and help clients pursue fair outcomes.
