Ms. Medeiros began her academic journey at McNair Academic High School in Jersey City, New Jersey. She then attended Cornell University, earning a B.S. in Policy, Analysis & Management and Human Development as a Coca Cola National Scholar and New Jersey United States Jaycees Scholar, graduating with honors. She later pursued her legal education at Seton Hall Law School, earning her J.D.

After being admitted to practice in New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and New York, Ms. Medeiros began her legal career as in-house counsel for JPF Technology, LLC in New York City. She later joined Giantomasi & Oliveira, P.C. in Newark, where she was instrumental in expanding the firm’s Family Law Division. Through her work on complex family law matters—including high-conflict divorces, custody disputes, and support issues—she built a strong reputation as a strategic and effective family law litigator.

Recognizing the need for dedicated legal representation, Ms. Medeiros established the Law Offices of Lorraine M. Medeiros, Esq., LLC in the Ironbound section of Newark.
