About
Lisa M. Hettich is a partner in Crowley Fleck’s Williston office and a trial attorney who has practiced across North Dakota and eastern Montana for more than a decade. Her work includes trust and estate litigation, contested probate and trust administration, guardianship matters, commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, property disputes, and appellate matters. She represents clients in negotiations, mediations, bench trials, jury trials, and appeals.
Lisa earned her J.D. from Drake University Law School in 2012 with Highest Honors and was elected to the Order of the Coif. She served as Research Editor of the Drake Law Review. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Studies from the University of North Dakota in 2008, summa cum laude. Her legal education included judicial and legislative experience that strengthened her research, writing, and analytical skills.
Lisa’s litigation experience includes breach of contract and warranty claims, shareholder and business disputes, collections, partition actions, quiet title cases, landlord-tenant matters, estate and trust disputes, and guardianship issues. She has appeared in state and federal courts and has handled appellate work before the North Dakota and Montana Supreme Courts. Her representative experience reflects an ability to manage disputes involving both financial interests and contested property or fiduciary relationships.
Lisa M. Hettich has been selected to Great Plains Rising Stars and was recognized in the Williston Herald’s 20 Under 40 program in 2025. Her practice combines trial experience with careful preparation and a strong understanding of commercial, property, and fiduciary disputes. She helps clients evaluate litigation risk, prepare for court, negotiate when appropriate, and pursue practical resolutions in matters that can carry significant business or personal consequences.
