Lisa A. Hall

Lisa A. Hall is a partner at Plunkett Cooney, PC and a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. Her practice includes bankruptcy law, commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, liquor licensing, municipal liability, and real estate law. She represents financial institutions and special servicers in loan origination, workouts, restructurings, foreclosures, receiverships, and banking litigation. She also represents insurers, public entities, and municipalities in constitutional, civil rights, immunity, police liability, and contract disputes.

Ms. Hall earned a J.D., cum laude, from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and a B.A. from Michigan State University, James Madison College. During law school, she served as Senior Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review and earned Dean’s List and Honor Roll recognition. Her education provided a foundation for work involving lending, commercial disputes, real estate, public entities, and creditor remedies.

Ms. Hall advises lending institutions on Small Business Administration loan documentation and collections and handles disputes involving collateral, loan enforcement, and distressed credit. Her broader practice includes real estate litigation, title insurance matters, governmental law, and liquor licensing. She is admitted in Michigan and before the US District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Michigan. Her professional affiliations include the Federal Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan, Grand Rapids Bar Association, and Risk Management Association.

Lisa A. Hall combines transactional and litigation experience in matters involving lenders, creditors, municipalities, insurers, and property interests. She serves as President of the West Michigan Chapter of the Risk Management Association and regularly presents on commercial lending and bankruptcy topics. Her practice remains focused on practical guidance, dispute resolution, and litigation strategy in banking, creditors’ rights, real estate, and governmental matters for clients facing complex legal challenges.
