Leslie Fineberg

Leslie Fineberg is the managing partner of Nottage and Ward, LLP and has practiced family law since graduating from law school. Her work includes divorce, parentage, child and family support, domestic violence, and enforcement of judgments for dissolution of marriage. She is a certified mediator and uses both negotiation and trial experience to help clients address difficult family disputes while pursuing workable resolutions when settlement is possible.

Leslie earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law. Her legal education prepared her for courtroom advocacy, negotiation, legal research, and the statutory issues that shape divorce and other family matters. She began her career as an Assistant State’s Attorney, where she focused on parentage, support, domestic violence, and enforcement matters. That early public-sector experience became the foundation for a long private family law practice.

Leslie entered private practice in 1997 after developing substantial trial experience as a prosecutor. She handles family law matters through negotiation, mediation, and litigation, depending on the needs of the case. Her work requires evaluating financial and parenting issues, explaining options to clients, preparing for contested hearings, and working toward settlements that clients can understand and implement. She has also been appointed as a Special Assistant Attorney General on numerous matters.

Leslie Fineberg approaches family law with an emphasis on direct communication and practical decision-making. She advises clients on the likely legal issues in a case while helping them assess settlement options against the costs and risks of continued litigation. When negotiation does not resolve a dispute, she relies on her trial background to advocate in court. Her combined experience as a prosecutor, private practitioner, mediator, and managing partner supports a balanced approach to complex family matters.
