Leigh Ann Bauer

Leigh Ann Bauer has built a respected career as a dedicated trial attorney, representing clients in complex criminal defense matters, including DUI and OUI cases. Leigh earned her Bachelor of Arts in History and German Literature with honors from the University of California – Santa Barbara in 1985. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California, in 1991. Her education also included a year abroad in 1984 at the Gymnasium Mussenredder in Hamburg, Germany.

Leigh’s early career in Alaska began with a clerkship for a Superior Court Judge, followed by five years as a public defender. In this role, she handled a broad range of criminal matters, honing her trial skills and deepening her understanding of the justice system. Her practice later focused on criminal defense, family law, and personal injury, allowing her to serve diverse client needs.

Leigh’s work has reached national audiences, including her appearance as co-counsel on the CBS program 48 Hours for the high-profile Bonnie Craig murder case. Her dedication extends beyond the courtroom, reflected in her memberships with the Alaska Criminal Defense Lawyers, Alaska Academy of Trial Lawyers, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National College of DUI Defense.
