About
Leah Yoder is a personal injury attorney at Rocky McElhaney Law Firm, which serves Nashville and surrounding Tennessee communities. She pursued injury law after developing an interest in tort law and helping people affected by harmful incidents. She works with individuals dealing with the aftermath of accidents, when legal and practical questions may arise at the same time. Her approach emphasizes understanding clients’ circumstances and helping them navigate injury disputes.
Leah graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology. She later attended the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and graduated cum laude. In law school, she served as an Articles Editor on Law Review and a peer mentor. Her academic work and legal training supported her interest in litigation and personal injury matters.
Leah gained legal experience through an internship with the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, work with the Memphis Shelby County Airport Authority’s general counsel, and placements with federal and state judges in Tennessee. She worked with U.S. Magistrate Judge Tu Pham and Judge Mary Wagner of the Shelby County Circuit Court. She subsequently joined a local personal injury firm, where she began applying her legal education to representing injured clients.
Leah Yoder combines academic preparation, court-related experience, and a commitment to assisting individuals who have suffered injuries. Her legal background includes exposure to government work, judicial proceedings, and civil claims. She seeks to approach injury cases with attention to the facts and awareness of the disruption accidents can create for clients. Her practice is centered on helping people understand their legal options and pursue available remedies.
