Leah Wise

Leah Wise is a personal injury attorney and the founding attorney of Leah Wise Law Firm, PLLC in Pharr, Texas. Her practice focuses on car accident and personal injury claims, representing people injured in collisions and other incidents. She established her practice in 2016 to serve underrepresented communities in the Rio Grande Valley and create opportunities for women in law. She now leads the region’s largest women-only law firm, representing clients across Texas’s major cities.

Leah graduated from Harlingen High School in 2008 before earning a Bachelor of Science in Political Communication from the University of Texas at Austin in 2012, with a Concentration in Women’s and Gender Studies. She received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2016, the same year she founded her practice. She is admitted to the State Bar of Texas, the Federal District Courts of Texas, and the Texas Supreme Court.

Leah secured a record-setting settlement in 2020 that brought national attention to her legal work. Her recognition includes a Top 1% Attorney Nationwide distinction associated with the largest settlement in Texas that year. Her professional affiliations include the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas, Hidalgo County Bar Association, and Women’s Bar Association. Alongside her legal practice, she supports Latina empowerment through scholarships and mentoring programs that help women pursue opportunities in the legal profession.

Leah Wise received the RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Justice and Legal Advocacy Award in 2025, Austin Woman magazine’s Woman to Watch recognition in 2024, and the Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas’s Woman Making History recognition in 2023. She established the Leah Wise Latina Student Hardship Fund through a $50,000 endowment supporting Latina law students at St. Mary’s University School of Law. Her initiatives also include the Wise Women Foundation, which supports minority women, and WorkWise Coworking Space, which provides affordable workspace for entrepreneurs. Through these efforts and speaking engagements nationwide, she extends her advocacy to education, entrepreneurship, and women’s advancement.
