Lawrence Michael Meltzer, Esquire, is a highly skilled criminal defense attorney and co-founder of Meltzer & Bell, P.A., located in West Palm Beach, Florida. Mr. Meltzer earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice from The American University in Washington, D.C. in 1994. He received his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center in 1999.

After graduating from law school, Lawrence Meltzer launched his legal career in civil law before transitioning to criminal law in 2001 as an Assistant State Attorney in Broward County, Florida. In that role, he prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases, including DUI, traffic offenses, and serious felony charges such as murder, robbery, and drug trafficking. With more than 100 jury trials to his name, Mr. Meltzer has gained extensive, insider experience in the criminal justice system and understands the strategies it takes to win in court.

In 2005, Mr. Meltzer transitioned to criminal defense, joining The Ticket Clinic, where he led DUI defense efforts across Florida. His experience led him to Parks & Braxton, P.A., before ultimately co-founding Meltzer & Bell, P.A. His legal work now covers multiple Florida counties, and he continues to represent clients in complex DUI and criminal matters.
