Lawrence M. Schonberger is a partner and principal of Sevila, Saunders, Huddleston & White, P.C. His practice emphasizes real estate, commercial transactions, small business corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, foreclosures, community association law, and landlord-tenant law. He brings decades of experience to clients with property and business needs.
Lawrence earned his B.S. from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1979, with a major in Mass Communications and a minor in History. He earned his M.S. from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1984, also in Mass Communications. He later earned his J.D. from Vermont Law School in 1987, with honors.
Lawrence was admitted to practice in Virginia in 1988. He was also admitted to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit that same year, supporting his work in many legal matters.
Lawrence served two terms on the Board of Governors for the Real Property Section of the Virginia State Bar from 1997 to 2003. During that time, he served as Secretary, Vice-Chair, and Chair, showing leadership in real property law and service to the legal profession statewide today. roles.
Lawrence has written articles on real property issues for the Section’s publication, the Fee Simple.
