Lance Michael Sears, a Colorado native, has decades of legal expertise. He represents injured plaintiffs in complex personal injury and commercial cases.
Lance, a graduate with honors in English and History from the University of Colorado and its law school, began his legal career in the El Paso County District Attorney’s Office.
After four years as a prosecutor, he moved to private practice. He focused on truck and auto collisions, ski accidents, professional negligence, bicycle accidents, and commercial torts.
Lance’s legal skills and commitment to justice are well-known. They have made him a leader in Colorado’s legal community. As the youngest President of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, he led the first update in 75 years to the Colorado Wrongful Death Act. It was a comprehensive rewrite of the Act. He has trained attorneys nationwide and lectured to over 40 state trial lawyer associations.
Lance is an AV-rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell. He has the highest AVVO rating of 10.0. Since the program started, he has been a Super Lawyer in Colorado. He is a former President of the Faculty of Federal Advocates for the U.S. District Court of Colorado. He currently serves on the Board of Governors for the International Society of Barristers.
