She represents a broad range of clients—including debtors, trustees, committees, and creditors—in reorganizations, liquidations, and related litigation across Texas and nationwide. Her work is driven by a clear mission: to bring stability and maximize recovery in financially distressed situations.
Kristina earned her B.A. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008. She later received her J.D., summa cum laude, from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2014. At law school, she served as Comment Editor of the South Texas Law Review and was recognized on the Dean’s List. Her academic distinctions laid the foundation for a career dedicated to high-stakes legal challenges in complex financial environments.
As a certified mediator, Kristina brings a unique perspective to dispute resolution. She guides parties through contentious proceedings with strategic clarity and a practical mindset. Her approach balances legal precision with a focus on outcomes that serve her clients’ long-term interests.
Before joining Kean Miller LLP, Kristina gained valuable experience as a judicial intern to Judge Drew B. Tipton of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. This early exposure to federal litigation continues to inform her work in both state and bankruptcy courts.
Kristina P. Tipton is admitted to practice in Texas and is an active member of the State Bar of Texas Bankruptcy Section, the Houston Young Lawyers Association, and the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation. Her involvement in these communities reflects her commitment to professional development and the evolving field of insolvency law.
