Kristie A. Scott is an attorney in Fort Myers, Florida, whose practice focuses on church law, business law, labor and employment law, and civil and business litigation. She advises businesses, nonprofit organizations, churches, and governing boards on legal matters affecting their operations. Her practice experience also includes contract law, government law, homeowners’ association law, and landlord and tenant matters. She combines legal advice with representation in disputes, supporting clients through both business decisions and court proceedings.

Kristie earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Charlotte School of Law. She graduated with pro bono honors and competed in national civil and criminal mock trial competitions. During law school, she held leadership roles in Phi Alpha Delta and the Black Law Students Association. She is admitted to practice in Florida and before the United States District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.

Kristie’s experience includes business litigation, legal research, document preparation, depositions, mediation, and court proceedings. Before entering law school, she worked in the investment and insurance industries, primarily serving high-net-worth individuals. She was the main contact for clients with more than $400 million in investments and managed new business processes for an insurance practice. She also taught business law as an adjunct professor at Florida Gulf Coast University for six years, ending in December 2023.

Kristie A. Scott has held an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell since 2020. Her recognitions include Best Lawyers’ Ones to Watch in Florida in 2022 and selection to Super Lawyers in 2024, following Rising Stars recognition from 2019 through 2023. Her public service includes board membership with Pace Center for Girls, Lee, beginning in 2024. She has also served on a Florida Bar grievance committee and a federal magistrate judge merit selection committee, reflecting her involvement in the legal profession and community.
