Kristen A. Hushka is a dedicated family law attorney with extensive experience in handling complex legal matters related to divorce, child custody, and guardianship. She is committed to guiding clients through challenging legal situations with professionalism and care.
Kristen is licensed to practice in North Dakota and Minnesota, offering trusted legal representation in family law cases. She also serves as a Guardian ad Litem in capacity cases, ensuring the best interests of those involved. Her knowledge and expertise have made her a respected advocate in the legal community.
Kristen earned her J.D. from Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law in 2013. During law school, she was a Senior Editor of the Penn State Law Review, President of the Public Interest Law Fund, and President of Phi Delta Phi, the International Legal Honor Society. She also gained valuable experience as a Certified Legal Intern at Penn State Law’s Family Law Clinic and completed a year-long externship with the Centre County Women’s Resource Center’s Civil Legal Representation Project. Before law school, Kristen received her B.A. in Political Science from Boston College in 2009.
Kristen’s legal career focuses primarily on family law, where she represents clients in cases involving divorce, child custody, parenting time, child support, and guardianship. She is a Certified Divorce Mediator, Collaborative Law Attorney, and Certified Parenting Investigator, bringing valuable dispute resolution skills to her practice. Her background in legal research and advocacy allows her to develop strong legal strategies tailored to each client’s needs.
Kristen A. Hushka is an active member of the Cass County Bar Association, Clay County Bar Association, North Dakota Family Law Section, and Minnesota Family Law Section. In addition to her legal practice, Kristen is committed to pro bono work, volunteering with SBAND’s Volunteer Lawyer Program to assist individuals who need legal representation but cannot afford it.
