Kimberly K. Bonifas

Kimberly K. Bonifas is an experienced family law attorney who represents clients in divorce, paternity, annulment, legal separation, litigation, custody, and support matters. She also assists with complex financial issues, including the division of assets and liabilities, business valuations, and structuring spousal maintenance terms. Kimberly is dedicated to guiding clients through sensitive and often difficult times with skill and professionalism, helping them resolve disputes while protecting their financial and personal interests.

Kimberly earned her B.A. from the University of Iowa in 1998 and her J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2002. She has been actively involved in the legal community, serving as Chair of the Wichita Bar Association Family Law Committee and as a member of the Kansas Bar Association, Wichita Bar Association, and American Bar Association. She also served on the Board of Discipline for Attorneys, appointed by the Kansas Supreme Court, from 2013 to 2018, reflecting her commitment to maintaining high standards of the profession.

Kimberly’s practice includes representing clients in contested matters involving premarital and postnuptial agreements, parenting time schedules, child support modifications, and post-divorce disputes. She also brings extensive litigation experience, having represented clients in trials involving family law matters when settlement was not possible. She is a trusted advocate who combines thorough preparation with a balanced approach to negotiation and trial strategy.

Kimberly K. Bonifas has been recognized by Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers for her skill in family law and has lectured on both family law practice and ethics. Outside of her professional work, she is a past president and board member of the Wichita Women Attorneys Association and remains active in community service through the KU Law Alumni Board of Governors, Junior League of Wichita, her church, and local volunteer organizations.
