Kimberly A. Dorsett

Kimberly A. Dorsett is an attorney with experience in employment law, insurance defense, business litigation, estate planning, probate, and workplace investigations. She helps clients address legal issues with careful analysis and practical advice. Her practice also includes attorney services in child support-related matters. Kimberly earned her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, where she achieved Dean’s List honors, served as Managing Editor of the DePaul Law Review, published two law review articles, and earned Order of the Coif recognition. She also graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Dakota with a degree in Criminal Justice. Her education supports her strong legal writing, analysis, and advocacy skills.

Before entering her current role, Kimberly practiced law in private practice and also served as Brown County State’s Attorney for six years. She was appointed as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of South Dakota, where she gained valuable government experience. These roles strengthened her courtroom skills and broadened her understanding of civil, criminal, and administrative legal issues, allowing her to guide clients through complex matters with confidence and professionalism.
