Kelly E. Almeter

Kelly E. Almeter is a dedicated litigation attorney with a strong focus on commercial and insurance litigation. As an Associate at her firm’s Dallas office, she represents clients in both state and federal courts. She has extensive experience handling complex legal matters, including insurance coverage disputes and bad faith claims. She regularly advises insurance carriers on coverage issues related to various policies, including commercial liability, property, homeowners, umbrella, excess, and professional liability. Her knowledge and strategic approach help clients navigate legal challenges effectively.

Ms. Almeter earned her J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2017, graduating cum laude. While in law school, she was a Comment Editor for the Journal of Air Law and Commerce and a member of Phi Delta Phi. She also holds a B.A. from Syracuse University, which she completed magna cum laude in 2014.

Ms. Almeter has built a strong career in litigation, handling a wide range of commercial disputes and insurance-related matters. She has represented insurers in complex coverage cases, advising them on legal strategies for claims involving environmental and pollution policies, commercial auto coverage, and errors and omissions policies. Her expertise extends to professional liability cases and regulatory counseling on emerging legal issues, such as PFAS litigation.

Ms. Almeter’s legal experience includes working as a judicial extern and intern for multiple federal and state judges, where she gained valuable insight into court proceedings. She also served as a legal intern at the Northern District of Texas Office of the Federal Public Defender, strengthening her advocacy skills.
