Katherine M. Forster is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson. She focuses her practice on employment litigation, representing companies in complex disputes involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other workplace-related legal claims.
Katherine earned her Juris Doctor from USC Gould School of Law in 2001, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif. She received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University in 1991, establishing the academic foundation for her legal career.
Katherine represents companies in a wide range of employment litigation matters. Her work includes disputes involving sexual harassment, gender discrimination, pay equity, wrongful termination, and whistleblower retaliation, as well as claims arising under federal and state employment laws.
Katherine has significant experience handling wage-and-hour and discrimination class actions. She has litigated more than 100 such cases and has achieved results through trial victories, dispositive motions, arbitration enforcement, and favorable settlements.
Katherine regularly advises companies facing government investigations and regulatory claims. Her work includes responding to investigations by agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the California Department of Civil Rights, as well as conducting internal investigations and compliance reviews.
Katherine has represented companies across technology, retail, entertainment, legal services, health care, manufacturing, and nonprofit organizations, helping employers address complex workplace disputes and litigation.
Katherine M. Forster previously served as a law clerk to Judge Edward Rafeedie of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and has received numerous professional recognitions for her work in employment law.
