Karen “Kacey” Carnegie is the Managing Member and Lead Attorney of Carnegie Law Group, where she provides trusted legal guidance to individuals, families, and small businesses. Her practice includes estate planning, probate administration, probate litigation, adoptions, guardianships, conservatorships, and small-business formation and transactional matters, with a strong focus on practical, effective solutions.
Kacey earned her undergraduate degree in Sociology and Accounting from Longwood University, graduating summa cum laude. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. Her academic background supports a disciplined, analytical approach to fiduciary and business-related legal issues.
Kacey advises clients on comprehensive estate planning strategies designed to protect assets, address long-term planning goals, and ensure efficient administration. She represents clients in probate proceedings and contested probate litigation, including will contests, and regularly serves as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem for both children and adults in complex legal matters.
Kacey began her legal career as an associate attorney at Dominic P. Lascara, PLC, where she gained experience handling a diverse range of legal matters. In 2012, she established her own law practice, which later became Carnegie Law Group, with the goal of delivering accessible, high-quality legal services grounded in professionalism and responsiveness.
