Karen C. Ozyjowski is a highly accomplished lawyer with extensive experience in family, civil, and criminal law. Her career began as an Assistant Public Defender for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, where she skillfully represented individuals facing charges ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies.
In pursuit of academic excellence, Karen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies with a minor in Interpersonal Communications from the University of Central Florida. She later obtained her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 1999, graduating in the top 15% of her class. During law school, she achieved several distinctions, including placement on the Dean’s List, the Judge Edward Hart Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, and becoming a National Student Trial Advocacy Competition Regional Champion.
Since her admission to the Florida Bar in 1999, Karen has developed a strong litigation background, successfully handling diverse cases in family, civil, and criminal courts. Her family law practice encompasses divorce, child custody, timesharing, equitable distribution, domestic violence injunctions, and support enforcement.
