About

Karen A. Perry is a partner with Brown Paindiris & Scott, LLP and the resident partner at the firm’s Essex office. Her practice includes trusts and estates, probate, real estate, personal injury, land use, and zoning. She advises clients on planning and property matters and represents them when disputes or regulatory questions arise. Her experience spans private practice and larger-firm work, giving her a broad background in legal issues affecting families, property owners, estates, and individuals.

Perry earned a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1994. She received a bachelor’s degree from Union College, where she studied Economics and Mathematics and participated in an economics honor society. Her academic background combines legal training with quantitative and economic study. That foundation is relevant to estate and real estate work involving asset values, property interests, planning decisions, transactions, and the financial consequences that can accompany probate or land-related matters.

Perry previously maintained her own law practice in Killingworth and spent more than a decade with Robinson & Cole in Hartford. Her current work includes estate planning and probate as well as real estate, personal injury, and land use and zoning matters. These areas can require coordination among planning documents, property records, municipal rules, court procedures, and financial information. Her experience in different practice settings supports preventive planning and contested legal issues.

Karen A. Perry has participated in local public service, including work connected to municipal boards and commissions. Her professional practice remains focused on helping Connecticut clients with estates, property, probate, and related legal concerns. She brings experience from solo practice, a large regional firm, and her current partnership role to matters that can involve long-term planning, transactions, regulatory questions, and disputes.
