Justin Penney

Justin Penney is an associate attorney at Hillsboro Law Group, PC who focuses on criminal defense and business law. He works with individuals facing criminal charges and helps ensure their rights are protected throughout the legal process. Justin earned his J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in Grand Forks, ND. During law school, he developed a strong foundation in contracts, corporate law, and legal advocacy. He also holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Biola University in La Mirada, CA. His education prepared him to handle both legal disputes and business matters, giving him the knowledge needed to assist individuals, entrepreneurs, and organizations with complex legal concerns.

Justin helped launch the University of North Dakota School of Law’s Business & Non-Profit Law Clinic before entering legal practice. In this role, he worked directly with entrepreneurs and small business owners who were starting new ventures. He assisted them with legal guidance, helping them understand the steps needed to establish and operate their businesses successfully. This experience allowed him to support local businesses and provide practical legal solutions that help organizations grow and stay compliant with the law.
