About
Julie Fields is an experienced immigration attorney dedicated to helping clients navigate the complexities of U.S. immigration law. She focuses exclusively on immigration and nationality matters, representing individuals and families in citizenship applications, visas, asylum, and removal defense. Since founding her practice in 2013, Fields has been committed to providing ethical, high-quality representation while tailoring legal strategies to meet each client’s unique goals. Her work is guided by a passion for reuniting families, defending rights, and achieving lasting immigration solutions.
Fields earned her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 2006, where she served as Articles Editor for the Washington Law Review. She also holds a B.A. in English with a French minor from Vanderbilt University. After law school, she clerked for both the Alaska Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court in Anchorage, experiences that provided her with valuable insight into judicial decision-making and appellate practice. Before founding her immigration law practice, she served as an Assistant Attorney General with the Alaska Department of Law.
Fields’s practice covers a wide range of immigration matters, including naturalization, family-based green cards, fiancé visas, asylum, student and work visas, and complex appeals. She is known for giving clients clear guidance about potential obstacles, delays, and risks while fighting to protect their rights. She typically offers flat-fee billing for transparency, making high-quality legal services more accessible for clients managing complex immigration challenges.
In addition to her practice, Julie Fields is active in professional and civic organizations. She co-chairs the Immigration Section of the Alaska Bar Association and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She has contributed as a volunteer with the Alaska Literacy Program, Alaska Immigration Justice Project, and Story Works Alaska.
