Julianne Donnelly Tzul

Julianne Donnelly Tzul is an immigration attorney at Christensen Legal, where she brings more than two decades of experience in law, advocacy, and refugee support. She is dedicated to guiding individuals and families through the challenges of immigration with dignity and compassion, combining strong legal skills with a deep commitment to justice and service.

Julianne earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and completed her B.A. in English Literature at Oberlin College. Licensed by the State Bar of California since 2004, Julianne is authorized to practice federal immigration law, including in Idaho. Her education and training gave her both the technical expertise and the perspective necessary to serve immigrant and refugee communities effectively.

From 2004 to 2011, Julianne practiced immigration law in Los Angeles, where she represented detained children and adults in removal proceedings. Through her work with the Catholic Legal Immigration Network and Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, she provided vital pro bono legal services to some of the most vulnerable populations facing deportation and detention. Her representation helped many clients secure stability and safety in the United States.

In 2011, Julianne transitioned to the International Rescue Committee in Boise, leading refugee resettlement and social service programs for twelve years. During that time, she supported thousands of newly arrived refugees by helping them access housing, employment, education, and community resources. In 2023, she expanded her advocacy work by joining the ACLU of Idaho, contributing to policy initiatives, and advancing immigrant rights through broader systemic change.

Since November 2024, Julianne Donnelly Tzul has been part of Christensen Legal, where she continues her mission of providing effective, conscientious, and compassionate legal representation. Her career reflects both technical excellence and a lifelong dedication to serving immigrant communities.
