Joshua Nolan is the founder and principal attorney at Nolan Law LLC, where he delivers personalized legal services in family law, municipal zoning, and business litigation. With a career spanning both large firm experience and solo practice, he brings a rare blend of strategic litigation insight and client-focused advocacy to every case.
Joshua earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he was named to the Dean’s List and served as a Legal Extern to Judge David Bunning of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Toledo, graduating with academic honors.
Admitted to practice in Ohio and Michigan, and in multiple federal courts, Joshua began his legal career at mid-sized and large law firms in Cincinnati and Columbus. There, he handled complex commercial litigation matters involving product liability, mass torts, and multimillion-dollar contract disputes.
In 2011, Joshua launched Nolan Law LLC in the Toledo area, shifting his focus to helping individuals and small businesses. His practice now includes divorce, child custody, adoption, zoning law, commercial disputes, and business planning. He is especially recognized for his work in municipal zoning and licensing related to industrial wind turbines, where he advises both residents and local governments on the impacts on land use.
Joshua Nolan is also a Director and founding member of the Interstate Informed Citizens Coalition, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to public education on zoning and energy infrastructure issues. Through Nolan Law LLC, he continues to provide high-quality, cost-conscious representation rooted in clarity, integrity, and results.
