Josh Friedman

Josh Friedman is the founder and principal of The Friedman Firm in Chicago, Illinois. He represents employees in workplace disputes involving discrimination, retaliation, termination, wages, benefits, severance agreements, and employment contracts. His clients range from working-class employees and professionals beginning their careers to senior executives negotiating important agreements. Josh focuses on protecting workers’ rights while pursuing practical resolutions through negotiation or litigation when court action is necessary.

Josh earned his Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1991 and a Master of Arts from the University of Virginia in 1986. His academic background provided a strong foundation in legal analysis, advocacy, and the laws governing workplace relationships. He is admitted to practice in Illinois, and his education and decades of experience support his ability to evaluate complex employment issues and explain available options clearly.

Josh began his career as an associate at a large law firm and spent approximately 20 years primarily representing major employers.
